Brewed with fine Bavarian hops from the area around the city of Nürnberg. It’s lagered in century old caves underneath the historic Schlenkerla brewery and maltings. Its boiled in the same old copper kettles they use for their smoked beer, so has a very subtle smokiness to it. Classic Bavarian lager.
A dark, smokebeer. Its smoky flavour is achieved by exposing the malt to the intense, aromatic smoke of burning beech-wood logs at the Schlenkerla-maltings. After mixing it with premium-class hops in the brew, it matures in 600 year old cellars, deep down in the hills of Bamberg, into a mellow, magnificent-tasting beer.
This limited seasonal beer has been brewed with fresh elderflowers picked from the hedgerows in the countryside around the brewery. It was then aged on whole gooseberries which, combined with the Saison and wild yeast strains, gives a tart, thirst quenching taste. Perfect for the summer!
Straw gold in colour, a balanced malt bill gives a great mouth feel and a finish that keeps on giving. Restrained bitterness followed by massive peach, pine & resinous hop flavours to keep you satisfied. A session IPA that’s perfect for the end of the day (or the start).
