‘No es Pituko’ is Chilean slang for ‘it ain’t fancy’ reflecting the fact that this wine was vinified naturally, without any additions at any stage. Vibrant aromas of peach and tropical fruits are layered with buttery notes and balanced by a refreshing natural acidity.
Made with certified organic grapes, this is a dry, savoury red that from our experience, goes very well with cheese! No oak used, this is aged in cement vats to let the fruit do the talking. A percentage of every bottle sold goes to support protection of oceans and coastlines too!
A slightly different take on Garnacha, naturally produced in stainless steel rather than wood. The wine is a little more focused on pure, berry fruit. A natural fermentation combined with natural fresh acidity, leave a very drinkable wine. A little bit of floral and herbal notes, and soft tannins. One to be enjoyed through the summer, perhaps chilled a little. A very drinkable red.
Sustainable agriculture from old vineyards with a high chalk content. The Tardana fruit comes from un-irrigated bush vines at 400 m altitude. This native grape variety its so adapted to the terroir that it ripens very late, in October, after the reds. Scrummy white fruits, flowers, ripe pears. Creamy and well balanced acidity.
Fattoria di Vaira is one of the largest biodynamic farms in Italy. Here they cultivate vegetables, grains and cereals, and produce fresh cheeses, olive oil and honey. After several years of applying biodynamic practices, their soil has been restored, reaching a degree of purity similar to wild soil.
If you are not familiar with orange wines, then this is a great place to start! This little Sicilian wine offers all of the characteristics of natural, orange wine, rich, pithy fruit character, savoury herbs, ginger and spices. Ideal for curries and classic Sicilian dishes.
100% organic Bical grapes from sandy soils are process and pressed quickly, and fermented in stainless steel with temperature control. Il Pestifero, the ‘naughty boy’ Pét-Nat, is part of Tavignano’s ‘I Love Monsters’ line devoted to rediscovering older, traditional winemaking methods through modern technologies.
Bright, straw yellow with aromas of floral, citrus, and herbs. The Pét-Nat is dry with fine, gentle bubbles that enhance the acidity. With a low alcohol content, it is pleasant and easy to drink, allowing the Verdicchio grapes to shine.
Saroto Tinto is made from a small, old, field-blend parcel comprised of old-fashioned red and white Douro varieties. The resultant wine is full of wild forest fruit, lots of berries with a kick of natural sourness. Plenty of fresh acidity adds juiciness and balances the rustic, grippy tannins, making for quite a light red. Earthy minerality adds extra complexity and the finish is long and moreish.
Nat Cool is naturally “cool and funky”. It represents an innovative concept initiated by Niepoort, where various producers came together to create light and easy-to-drink wines. Showcasing the character of the Baga grape variety and Bairrada region superbly, with beautiful aromas of strawberries, dried roses and some spice.
