Te Quiero Field Blend Red
Much of Spain’s vineyards are devoted to the commercial grape varieties that we all know and love such as Tempranillo and Syrah, but there are also small plots of older, native varieties such as Graciano, Monastrell, Tinto Velasco that farmers have preserved out of a sense of pride or interest in their history. Today we recognise more and more the value of this diversity and the wealth of flavours of some of these older varieties when they come together in a blend.
Rich, ripe, spiced and brambly fruit, pure and mouthfilling with round tannins, and a lively finish. The small amount of these grapes that remain means it is not possible to vinify them separately so the grapes tend to be harvested together as a Field Blend.
Fabrizio Vella Organic Catarratto
This natural wine has a complex nose of citrus fruit, lemon zest and citrus blossoms along with hint of tropical fruits, herbs and sweet spices. Fresh, crisp and lovely minerality on the finish.

Ciello Bianco Catarratto
Organic, natural Cattaratto with racy acidity. Unfiltered so its slightly hazy. Apricots and almonds on the finish. Delicious with some whitebait or squid.

Organic and natural Nero d’Avola from Sicily. Lots of juicy plum and herb flavours, really bright and fresh.
Tannu Nero d’Avola Merlot

This Macabeo is a diverse old world wine with a new world twist. Some oak fermentation and lees contact has added great texture, weight and savoury notes while allowing the tropical and citrus fruit to shine as well. Drink this on its own or with fish served with a creamy sauce.

Samurai Shiraz Free Run Juice
Free Run Juice are a cooperative in Australia, falling under the umbrella of one of the biggest and most highly regarded family-owned winery in the Southern Hemisphere, Yalumba Wine Company. Sourcing fruit from regions known for their quality, the focus is on minimal intervention and organic farming methods.
The grapes for the Samurai Shiraz are picked earlier in the season to retain a freshness assisted by a lack oak. Full of red and black fruit, easy drinking, low sulphur wine that is screaming for PIZZAAAAAAAA!!

La Jara Frizzante Rosé Organic
A totally irresistible semi-sparkling rosé from our favourite Prosecco producer, La Jara, but in this case they use a little bit of the red grape, Raboso, to give the wine its lovely pale coral colour.
Vega Tolosa Bobal Icon
The Vega Tolosa project first began in 1998, with the aim to produce really good organic wines at good value. The Valle Del Catriel, where the winery is, has now been declared a protected space by UNESCO, ensuring biodiversity within the area.
This bobal has lots of juicy red fruit flavours as well as dark plum and cherries, balanced with a herbal, savoury note and fresh acidity.

Zensa Nero Di Troia
Nero Di Troia is making a comeback and this is a great example! Not nearly as well known as Primitivo and Negroamaro, it is often found in blends. Aromas of fresh dark plum, cinnamon, exotic spices and tobacco. Firm yet gentle tannins add complexity and length.

A delicious, gulp-able expression of Rioja: unoaked, it’s full of mixed berries and red fruits it’s juicy and delightful to drink.
Tenuta Del Melo Gavi
This is exceedingly good Gavi! Made from Cortese grapes farmed organically with the biodynamic method. Great aromatic finesse and structure make this wine an excellent aperitif and an accompaniment to light courses and seafood.

Bodegas Altolandon Mil Historias Bobal
The winery sits 1100 metres above sea level, inland of Valencia. Organic methods are used to manage the vines and the grapes are vinified as naturally as possible with native yeasts and little other intervention. This Bobal shows distinctive power, vibrant fruit, freshness with soft and ripe tannin. It is spicy and juicy with a well rounded palate with a fascinating crunchy-fruit freshness. The Altolandon vineyards are farmed organically, sustainably and biodynamically.

Nouvelle Vague Organic Rouge
Made with certified organic grapes, this is a dry, savoury red that from our experience, goes very well with cheese! No oak used, this is aged in cement vats to let the fruit do the talking. A percentage of every bottle sold goes to support protection of oceans and coastlines too!
Chateau St Cyrgues Salamandre Rouge
The Château Saint Cyrgues estate is located in the South of France, near Nîmes. It faces the Petite Camargue, one of the most beautiful sites in France, and the Mediterranean Sea. The estate is over a hundred years old, but keeps up with the times as it is certified organic.

Tragolargo Monastrell
Immensely drinkable of this grape variety which can normally be so fierce. Red and dark berry fruit, fresh with plenty of herbal twists for interest.
Chateau Laurou ‘Tradition’ Fronton
Made from the local speciality, Négrette along with Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, this is an interesting wine with blackberry, leather and a slightly balsamic quality on the nose. Juicy, tart plum-edged black fruit. Best with big hearty meals like casseroles and stews.
Valli Unite Ottavio Rube Rosso
A great entry level, yet rustic natural wine. Predominantly Dolcetto with crunchy acidity and a rich cherry and chocolate flavour profile. Very food friendly, particularly with vegetarian dishes.
