Lovamor is made with fruit sourced from low-yielding 100-120-year-old Albillo bush-vines grown at 800-1100 metres elevation in the Ribera del Duero. A young orange wine made with the nearly extinct grape Albillo. The colour of farmhouse butter, aromas of russet apples, medlars and pear, with a chalky minerality and slight tannin from the skin contact. Whilst Clement Klur is still very much involved at every stage from vine to bottle, he has now joined forces with his good neighbour, Leon Heitzmann, and their joint effort in the vineyards is reflected in the increasing quality of the wines. These vineyards are tranquil places, full of fruit trees dotted amongst the vines which attract and offer shelter to local wildlife. This symbiotic relationship helps maintain the health and balance of their land. The steep vineyards means the harvest is carried out by hand, allowing the pickers to be very selective and gentle in choosing the healthiest fruit to ensure that the resulting wine is always of the highest quality.

Made from 100% Rufete, it’s light and aromatic, delicate yet structured, and has wonderful natural acidity and therefore balance.

It’s a wild fermention, with very light extraction, followed by ageing in concrete and oak, with no fining or filtration. It’s silky and enjoyable now, but will develop plenty of complexity with age.
