The palate opens with a sweet cherry core wrapped in wild strawberries, mint leaves and liquorice. The body is bright and rounder than you might expect from a young Nebbiolo dominated blend, but we can thank Vespolina and Croatina for that, they pull the Nebbiolo back from its tricky heights and give this wine drinkability and balance. This wine captures all of Alto Piemonte’s charm, with the difficult-to-achieve fruit and structure alongside a fabulous drinkability.
