A big, chunky Rhone from a fantastic little cooperative in Estézargues near Avignon. Made with minimal intervention, unfined, unfiltered. Soft red fruits on the palate, hearty, but really approachable.
A dark violet colour is well complimented by rich aromas of dark fruits, plum and blackberry, with notes of spice and a hint of vanilla. Medium bodied, but full of jammy fruit flavours- black current, even a hint of dark chocolate, with warm tannins and a fine finish.
We are delighted to introduce the rule-breaking Tabula Rasa #V18R. Each year, the slate is wiped clean and, with no preconceptions, every vintage is original. The Solaz range consists of honest, fruit-forward, contemporary wines made from Osborne’s own family owned vineyards in Tierra de Castilla. Here in Mapica is Europe’s largest family owned, single estate vineyard. Mineral rich, clay-limestone soils, and a warm sunny climate provide ideal conditions for growing grapes.
Deep intense purple colour. Rich ripe, spiced and brambly fruit, pure and mouthfilling with round tannins, and a lively finish. The small amount of these grapes that remain means it is not possible to vinify them separately so the grapes tend to be harvested together as a Field Blend.
A deep cherry red with burgundy highlights. Slightly smoky on the nose, the grenache adds it’s trademark black berry flavours whilst the Carignan gives this vibrant colour, lovely tannins and fresh acidity. Cranberry, strawberry and raspberry are evident as well as subtle notes of floral notes such as rose petal and violets.
These guys produce some of the best value red wines in the world and this little beauty is a case in point. Soft and velvety in texture with masses of concentration on the palate and bags of juicy black fruit on the nose, a cracking all-round entry level red. Unoaked and all the better for it.
This easy-drinking wine comes from Chile’s renowned Valle Central Region, where long hot days are followed by cool nights. This temperature difference ensures the grapes ripen slowly, so they develop maximum flavour. This is simply outstanding wine for the money, soft super-juicy ripe plummy fruit and a long full-flavoured finish.
This beautiful natural wine has a complex spicy nose with notes of liquorice, chocolate and black currants. The aromas spill over into the fresh and persistent palate. All hand-picked grapes using the best fruit in the vineyards, and less sulphur in the winemaking.
Intense red with aromas of plums, wild strawberries and black pepper. The palate is full-bodied, with hints of liquorice and nutmeg, well-balanced tannins and a long and persistent finish. Perfect with chicken dishes, grilled vegetables, lamb and soups with vegetables and meat.
