Coola Hills Pinot Noir
A beautiful, fresh Pinot Noir from the volcanic soils of Mount Gambier in South Eastern Australia. Packed full of strawberry and cherry fruit. Wonderful with a barbecue!
Les Chemins de L’Arkose, Le Clos Parcellaire Gamay
Le Clos Rouge Cuvée Parcellaire hails from a plot of old Gamay with some Pinot Noir planted on calcareous soil with basaltic debris. This red has a touch more body than their other wines, but is still marked by mountain freshness, and its purity is down to excellent work in the vines and sympathetic low-intervention winemaking. A delightful natural wine, aged in amphora. Flavours of juicy red berries and pepper.
Davenport Diamond Fields Pinot Noir
Davenport Winery started in 1991 when Will Davenport planted 5 acres of vines at Horsmonden in Kent. Always a supporter of organic farming practices, the winery was one of the first in England to be certified fully organic in 2000.
Deep flavours of cherries and blackberry with plenty of tannic structure that will allow this wine to mature fro several years. Drink now or keep for up to 5 years to gain more complex flavours and softness.
Domaine Réyane & Pascal Bouley Volnay
In the heart of Volnay this is an estate that was handed over to the son 8 years ago. Pierrick has since won the title of ‘Young Vigneron of the Year’ from Bourgogne Aujourdhui magazine. He uses minimal sulphur, none during fermentation and lets the wines evolve naturally. The results are wines with very pure fruit, not masked by oak, silky tannins and really good length. They are fantastic Volnay and taste just as Volnay should.
