Ciu Ciu Rosso Piceno
Incredibly easy to drink! Strawberries and cherries on the nose, with liquorice spice. You could serve this slightly chilled to accentuate these wonderful flavours. A lively organic blend of Montepulciano and Sangiovese from the heart of the Piceno hills, in the Marche region.
Salcheto Chianti Biskero
Salcheto is named after the Salcheto stream that runs through this hilly, 21 hectare property. Located in the heart of Montepulciano, Salcheto is dedicated to Sangiovese in the clonal guise of Prugnolo Gentile: the soul of Vino Nobile. Prugnolo Gentile differs from other Sangiovese clones in Tuscany offering softer, more plum-like flavours than the usual black cherry and it really shows in this very drinkable red.
Salcheto is certified Organic. The grapes are hand harvested, treating them gently and with care. No sulphites are used in the production of this wine and native yeasts are used for fermentation. The Chianti Biskero wafts from the glass with dark red cherries, licorice, crushed flowers and spices. It is an apprachable, mid-weight Chianti best suited for drinking now or over the next 2-3 years.
Monte Bernardi Fiasco 1L
The Monte Bernardi Fiasco! Vino Rosso is a great-value, soft, and highly drinkable red wine that comes in one-liter bottles. This non-vintage wine is a blend of organic red grapes sourced from several regions across Italy, including Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Malvasia Nera, and Colorino from Tuscany, Montepulciano from Le Marche, and Frappato, Nerello Mascalese, and Nero d’Avola from Sicily.
With its versatile character, this wine is perfect for impromptu gatherings, a mid-week tipple, or pairing with BBQs. It offers an affectionate and amusing nod to the straw-covered flasks that became popular table lamps.
