Made from grown grapes in the Stellenbosch and Paarl regions, this wine is created to show the fresh, fruity and spice driven flavours of these Rhone varietals. The colour is youthful and purple/red. The nose is one of crushed black pepper, dark mulberry and mixed berry coulis. Pure, clean dark red berry flavours flow onto a smooth palate with sufficient structure to warrant enjoyment with food such as Gourmet Pizza with Carpaccio and rocket salad.
Red fruits and Mediterranean forest herbs, such as thyme and rosemary come through on the palate. The spicy background gives the wine a wonderful elegance and freshness, amongst floral notes which can also be found. Rustic, but seductive with a slightly balsamic finish.

Art.Terra is Alexandre’s celebration of the Alentejo terroir. No barrel ageing leaves the wine as a true expression of its roots. Syrah and Touriga Nacional from an old vineyard in the Ossa hills. Unoaked with Syrah refreshing the dark mulberry fruits of Touriga.
With the chill of Autumn in the air this is a good choice to pair with heartier dishes. The fruit for this wine comes from Kazmet Vineyard located in the inland warmer reaches of Mendocino County. This mature head-pruned dry farmed vineyard provided us with concentrated ripe fruit.
Jacques started to make wines from himself in 1983 taking over from a local winemaker, Alain Voge, who had been employing him and the following year he rented his first vines for himself.
