Lopez de Haro Crianza Half Bottle
The Lopez de Haro winery is situated in the historic town of San Vicente de la Sonsierra, surrounded to the north by the Sierra Cantabria and to the south by the Ebro river.
A blend of Tempranillo, Garnacha and Graciano, this is a smooth and fruity Rioja in a half bottle – just a cheeky glass or two!
Centelleo Tempranillo, Syrah
Spain’s most famous grape variety, Tempranillo, is full of juicy bramble and cherry fruits with a hint of spice on the nose while the palate displays soft rounded tannins. This red is supple and succulent with a juicy finish.
Great on its own or with grilled lamb cutlets, mild curries or casseroles.
Vina Mues Tempranillo
A soft and juicy red from Rioja Alavesa, incredibly easy to drink and great value for money. No oak used, this is young and ripe and ready to go.
Finca Manzanos Rioja Tempranillo
A lovely fresh, youthful Rioja with ripe cherry, berry fruit flavours and hints of spice, the palate is medium bodied, soft, rounded and approachable. Great with bolognaise sauces.
Te Quiero Field Blend Red
Much of Spain’s vineyards are devoted to the commercial grape varieties that we all know and love such as Tempranillo and Syrah, but there are also small plots of older, native varieties such as Graciano, Monastrell, Tinto Velasco that farmers have preserved out of a sense of pride or interest in their history. Today we recognise more and more the value of this diversity and the wealth of flavours of some of these older varieties when they come together in a blend.
Rich, ripe, spiced and brambly fruit, pure and mouthfilling with round tannins, and a lively finish. The small amount of these grapes that remain means it is not possible to vinify them separately so the grapes tend to be harvested together as a Field Blend.
Gran Cerdo Tempranillo
This wine has real character – all the juicy elements of Tempranillo. Cherry-red, purplish, brilliant colour with notes of fresh fruit, strawberries, raspberries, cherries and violets with clean mineral tones from the granite, this little natural wine is phenomenal value.
Palacio del Camino Real Rioja Crianza
Our best-selling Rioja. A blend of Garnacha, Tempranillo and Graciano. The perfect balance of fruit, vanilla and a little spice.
Don Tinto Tempranillo
Don Tinto is fruit-forward and silky with a generous black cherry and vanilla spice profile from partial-ageing in oak barrels (no scary industrial winemaking tricks here).
From the team that bought you Chin Chin, Noble Rot have delivered a super tasty red to go alongside it. From Bodegas Latue in Villanueva de Alcardete in Toledo, Spain where farming is done Organically and winemaking is low intervention. This is a Tempranillo packed full of fruit. Of course the label has topped the wine off by illustrator John Broadley.
Gatito Loco Rioja Tinto
A bright fruit-bursting wine that emphasises vineyard over bodega, which discards the hackneyed image of Rioja, everything about this wine is intentionally provocative to challenge your view on what Rioja is. This wine stands out for its red and black fruits and liquorice aromas. Fresh and round with a multitude of nuances supporting the black fruit flavours.
Finca Manzanos Rioja Crianza
A great example of Rioja Crianza that’s had 12 months in barrel (the minimum is 6 months) giving it a nice roundness and some light oaky spices, with mellow tannins that balance the bright, fresh red fruits and blueberry flavours perfectly.
Vina Ilusion Rioja
A delicious, gulp-able expression of Rioja: unoaked, it’s full of mixed berries and red fruits it’s juicy and delightful to drink.
Palacio Del Camino Real Rioja Reserva
Traditional style Reserva Rioja with black fruit flavours and spicy rich oak notes. The palate is medium-bodied with a real fruit driven flavour. Plum, red and black fruit and soft vanilla notes shine with a long structured finish. Rioja pairs especially well with lamb and pork dishes!
De Bardos Clea Crianza Ribera del Duero
A big, rich Ribera, packed full of cherry and blackcurrant fruit. The perfect match for Sunday roast, and a lot of wine for the money.
Massaya Le Colombier
A fresh, thirst-quenching wine for everyday drinking, distinguished by hints of spice and pepper.
Rioja Alavesa ‘Letras Minúsculas’
The wine is produced with grapes from plots: Laguilera, Iscorta and La Rueda, they are carefully selected and picked by hand.
A nice big Rioja, dominated by red fruits from the Garnacha along with raspberry and black liqourice from the Tempranillo. Letras Minúsculas is a powerful and complex wine, an explosion of fruit which offers soft tannins, yet firm enough to provide the wine with a good structure. The oak component is subtle and well integrated. Perfect with any meats and cheeses.
Stanton & Killeen Tempranillo
In Rioja (Spain) this style would be classed as a ‘Joven’ style, meaning young and un-wooded, but being in the new world and Rutherglen in particular, this wine is lifted to an extra level. A fabulous new world interpretation of a long standing old world variety.
Dense red/purple. Complex with rose petal and dark cherry juice and cranberry aromas with some light cedary wood spices. A balanced palate profile with soft flavours of cherries, dark plums and a backbone of light tannins that extend through to a long and refreshing finish.
Finca Manzanos Rioja Gran Reserva
This wine stands out for its elegance and intense aromas of dried fruit, liquorice, spices, cocoa and coffee. Fresh and enticing on the palate, with ripe Garnacha notes of red berries, there are spicy overtones and layers of red fruit. A rich, long and pleasantly spicy finish.
