L’ete-Vautrain Cote 204 Brut Champagne
One of our absolute favourite Grower Champagnes is the Lete-Vautrain Cote 204 Brut non-vintage. This delicious Champagne was founded by husband and wife team Robert L’Ete and Lilliane Vautrain from all their own fruit grown on their 8 hectare estate.
Since 2011 the estate has been owned and run by the Baron Fuente family, they produce a very modest 70,000 bottles per year. This fantastic wine is a traditional blend of 50% Pinot Meunier, 25% Chardonnay & 25% Pinot Noir. Three years aged, with a fresh and elegant citrus bouquet and a succulent peach and apricot character. Intense notes of red apple and peach and dried fruits on the finish.
Made with 50% Pinot Meurnier, 25% Chardonnay and 25% Pinot Noir.
Bernard Robert Brut Reserve
A crisp, stylish and classic Champagne. Aromas of ripe red and stone fruits with rich yeasty, brioche and buttery notes leading to a soft and rounded palate. Produced from 30 hectares of 35 year old vines north of the Aube River. Every bottle is aged for a minimum of 3 years prior to disgorgement.
Champagne L’ete-Vautrain Rosé Royal NV
The estate was created in the 60’s in Chateau-Thierry, by Robert L’ete and Lillian Vautrin, his wife. They farm just 7.5 hectares in the Marne Valley and work with the utmost respect for the environment. 36 months on the lees to develop complexity. Floral and delicate with an explosion of fruit on the palate. Strawberry, raspberry and toasty almonds.
Champagne Gallimard Cuvée de Réserve Brut NV
Didier Gallimard owns 10 hectares of prime vineyards on the steep slopes around Les Riceys in the southern Aube. Didier’s son Arnaud has joined him, becoming the seventh generation, and the long term future is now secure. Gallimard Père et Fils vines’ average age is over 30 years and the dramatically sloping vineyards, which are of chalk and Kimmeridgian limestone, are planted mainly to Pinot Noir and just a little Chardonnay.
A long time staff favourite and a really refreshing Champagne with tropical fruit flavours and a toasty brioche finish.
Champagne Gallimard Rose NV
Didier Gallimard owns 10 hectares of prime vineyards on the steep slopes around Les Riceys in the southern Aube. His vines’ average age is over 30 years and the dramatically sloping vineyards, which are of chalk and Kimmeridgian limestone, are planted mainly to Pinot Noir and just a little Chardonnay. Their wines are full and rich and offer enticing aromas and flavours of summer fruits. This delicious Rosé is a blend of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay and cascades with fresh, bright raspberry and strawberry flavours.
Champagne Delavenne Grand Cru Brut Reserve
Stunning Grand Cru Champagne made with minimal intervention. Low sulphur, no fining, no herbicides or chemical fertilisers and all hand harvested grapes. This is a blend of only two vintages from family vineyards in Bouzy. Delavenne’s elegant cuvée are served at many Michelin starred restaurants in Europe, they make outstanding Champagnes that we are delighted to have.
Veuve Fourny Blanc de Blancs
Veuve Fourny’s Blanc de Blancs Brut, taken from 40 year old vines planted on south and south-east facing slopes in Le Mont-Ferrés, in the Vertus Premier Cru. It is a youthful style with aromas delicate summer fruits, vanilla and acacia. The palate is pure and lively yet round with chalky minerality, this Extra Brut Champagne is superb as an aperitif or with oysters.
Champagne Delavenne Bouzy Rouge
Limited to just 3,000 bottles, this is a red, still, Grand Cru Champagne from Bouzy. 100% Pinot Noir grapes grown in a selected plot, complex aromas, gentle earthiness and light tannins complement the red berry and cherry flavours with hints of leather and spice.
