Villa Wolf Gewürztraminer
The Villa Wolf Estate has been making wine since the 1800’s with Ernst Loosen from the Dr Loosen winery in Mosel taking over in 1996. The winery is currently in the process of getting organic certification, 2022 will be the first certified vintage.
Villa Wolf Gewürztraminer is made in a fruity style that has just enough sweetness to be perfect with spicier dishes, but it is not so sweet that the wine becomes unbalanced. It is an extremely enjoyable and approachable style that can be enjoyed by all.
Lionel Osmin & Cie La Baie Orientale
An aromatic blend of Muscat, Gewurztraminer, Viognier and Riesling from South West France. Flavours of melon, peach elderflower and apricot. An ideal match for spicier dishes.
Bruno Sorg Gewurztraminer
Bruno Sorg is the source of some of the finest, richest and most concentrated wines in Alsace, and this Gewurztraminer is no exception. Picked slightly later than its neighbours so it’s rich and unctuous, with flavours of rose petals and ripe lychee on the nose, leading to peach and mango on the palate. A spine of acidity keeps all this fruit in check, leading to a softly spiced dry finsh.
A magnificent wine which complements spicy food perfectly, or try with a funky wash rind cheese such as Epoisses or Vacherin.
Cantina Terlano Gewurztraminer
Cantina Terlano is well known in Italian wine drinking circles for producing Italy’s longest lived white wines. Many memorable wines from the 1950s and 1960s, which rank amongst the greatest white wines of the world, were made here.
This Gewürztraminer has lychee, mango and honeysuckle on the nose. Fresh fruit and lively acidity combine with mineral notes to leave a very round finish.
