Adega Belem Arinto
£29.00
This very limited production wine, only 880 bottles, has a complex and rich aroma, with a little grapefruit, peach and spice. There is a pronounced, but balanced, leesy creaminess on the palate, with a long finish that has just the right amount of acidity to make you want to go back for more. It should also age rather well over the next five to ten years.
The grapes for this wine are sourced from the urban vineyard of the Higher Institute of Agronomy of the University of Lisbon, where the winemakers previsouly worked as academics. The vineyard is located in the warm microclimate of the Tapada da Ajuda in the Lisbon neighborhood of Ajuda, overlooking the Tejo river.

Description
Adega Belém is an urban winery, working out of an old auto repair shop, they are located in the Belém District of Lisbon, so make sure to visit them if you’re visiting the city as they are lovely people.
Their winemaking uses indiginous varieties and a minimalist approach in the winery, their philosophy could perhaps be described as making interesting, high-quality wines in a fun and experimental way. But this is not to say that their wines aren’t serious, they’re seriously good!
