Within just 45 miles of the distillery, carefully tended orchards of this wonderful pear are grown. Originating in the mid-19th century, it is still regarded as the best eating pear in the world.
Received at the peak of ripeness, every pear was hand graded and washed before being gently crushed, here we use the entire fruit. A long slow fermentation to preserve aroma before double distillation in a still surrounded by a water bath. Every step was taken to preserve the essence of this fruit.
With around 17kg of pears used to create each litre, from a total of 2,000kg, you have an incredibly rare and beautiful expression to enjoy.
