Casa Relvas Art Terra Amphora
£22.95
A traditional blend of indigenous grape varieties; Aragonez, Trincadeira and Moreto. The grapes are all harvested by hand and fermented on their skins for about 60 days which gives the wine a beautiful, deep, rich colour. The amphora imparts wonderful, earthy notes and flavours of eucalyptus and dark berry fruits, the tannins are very soft and fine.
This is a family run winery with a deep love and understanding of the viticultural heritage of their region. Alongside the vineyards, Casa Relvas manage 750 hectares of forests and 250 hectares of olive groves. They have grown more than 100,000 cork oaks and pine trees and introduced a flock of Merino sheep into the vineyards to provide organic, natural fertiliser.
