Casas Del Bosque Late Harvest Riesling
Casas del Bosque was founded in 1993 by Juan Cuneo Solari and was one of the first wineries in the Casablanca Valley. Today it is still family owned and is one of the most important wineries in Casablanca. The Cuneo’s have 245 hectares of vines in Santa Rosa on the west side, considered the coolest spot in the region.
A complex wine made from 100% Botrytis (or noble rot) affected grapes with a nose of quince jelly, acacia honey and candied orange peel. Honeyed notes of dried apricot, figs and orange marmalade combine with acidity and structure on the palate. An unusually high amount of 330 grams of residual sugar create enormous palate weight, structure and length. Pair with ripe cheeses and desserts.
