Clos Henri Estate Sauvignon Blanc
£21.00
Clos Henri’s story begins with the Bourgeois family in Sancerre, where ten generations built a reputation for precise, vineyard‑driven Sauvignon Blanc. In the early 2000s they set their sights on Marlborough, drawn by its raw potential and the chance to explore the grape in a new landscape. They chose the Wairau Valley’s upper reaches, planting on three distinct soil types and farming organically from the outset. The estate remains firmly Loire in spirit—single‑vineyard focus, close attention to texture and detail—translated into Marlborough’s brighter light and wider skies.
Fresh, mineral and zesty, the Estate Sauvignon Blanc bursts with bright citrus aromas of mandarin and yuzu blossom. The palate is light and refreshing, flavours of pineapple, peach and meyer lemon zest abound. Juicy acidity balances the intensity of a dry season’s fruit-forward notes.
