Domaine du Changeon, Bourgueil
£16.95
Domaine du Changeon is an exciting new property recently set up by David Ledoux in Bourgueil. He previously had a twenty year career as a mechanical engineer in the car industry but always loved wine and his grandfather owned vineyards. He worked at the domaine under the old name (Bruno Dufeu) and then had the opportunity to buy the property and follow his own path. ‘Changeon’ is the river that was originally diverted for the watermills of Bourgueil to operate and David chose this name as it passes near the domaine and is symbolic of his new direction.
The nose shows bright aromas of wild berries and raspberries. The palate is smooth and full of fresh fruit, with a touch of sweet acidity, finishing with a pleasant hint of cherry.
