Lapilli Greco di Tufo
£16.50
Greco di Tufo is one of the oldest grapes in the province of Avellino and was brought into the area of Tufo by the Greeks in the first century BC. Notes of stone fruits dominate the aromas with peach and apricot, but there’s a delicious complexity that comes with hints of pear, almond, sage and a twist of minerality. The acidity cleanses the palate and keeps the wine refreshing and moreish, while the ripe fruit gives the wine a certain roundness and softness which balances perfectly.

Description
Located in Irpinia, in the Southwest of the Avellino province, Lapilli was established in 1996 as a family-run business, and has been meticulously managed by its dedicated team ever since. With vineyards in and around the towns of Montefusco, Tufo, Benevento, Ponte and Torrecuso and vineyards on the hills of Lapio, Forino and Candida. This collection of comunes is dedicated to wine production as a main factor in their local economy, which perhaps accounts for the diligence of the Lapilli team and their ethos of cherishing advice from older generations who know the land by heart.
