Lionel Osmin & Cie La Baie Orientale
£17.95
Lionel Osmin & Cie is a South‑West France négociant house founded in 2010 with a clear mission: to champion the region’s native grapes, varied terroirs and convivial, food‑friendly style. It works across the full sweep of the South‑West—from Jurançon to Cahors—partnering with growers to produce wines that highlight both rare local varieties and the area’s distinctive volcanic, limestone and clay soils. The range is deliberately exploratory, celebrating the diversity of the region and presenting it in a modern, approachable way.
La Baie Orientale is one of the most expressive examples of that philosophy: an aromatic white blend that brings together Muscat, Muscadelle, Gewürztraminer, Viognier, Pinot Gris and Riesling. Expect notes of rose petal, lychee, melon and lifted florals, supported by clean, well‑judged acidity. The style is soft yet bright, with enough perfume and texture to pair naturally with spicier dishes, shellfish or aromatic cuisine.
