Solevari Reserve Feteasca Neagra
£10.95
Cramele Recas is a winery in Romania owned by Englishman Philip Cox and his Romanian wife, Elvira. The vineyards are a combination of historic vines from 1447 and more recent plantings and modern wine-making techniques. Feteasca Neagra is a dark-skinned grape indigenous to Romania and Moldova. When translated, it means black maiden and is the most widespread grapes in Romania.
A predominantly spicy nose with black fruits, similar to Pinot Noir but with rich flavours and grippy tannins. Acidity balances it out with a hint of coffee on the finish.
