Tetramythos Agiorgitiko Natur

£26.00

Tetramythos Agiorgitiko Natur comes from one of the Peloponnese’s most distinctive mountain sites, made by a winery that has built its reputation on clean, precise organic farming and low‑intervention winemaking. Tetramythos sits in the northern Peloponnese above Aigialeia, where vineyards climb from 450 to more than 1,000 metres on limestone and schist. The area faces the Gulf of Corinth, giving a cooler, wind‑influenced climate than most of the peninsula; summers are warm but moderated by altitude and sea breezes, and nights drop enough to preserve acidity and slow ripening. The estate has worked organically for years and is known for producing natural wines that are stable, well‑made and rooted in the character of their high‑altitude vineyards.

Agiorgitiko from this part of the Peloponnese shows a very different profile from the softer, riper styles of Nemea. Tetramythos ferments the Natur cuvée with native yeasts, keeps sulphur extremely low, and bottles it unfiltered to preserve the grape’s natural fruit and the freshness of the mountain site. The result is a bright, clean, lightly structured red with red cherry, pomegranate, dried herbs and a faint earthy note. The palate is supple, medium‑bodied and lifted by crisp acidity, with fine tannins and a dry, refreshing finish. It is an honest, transparent expression of Agiorgitiko grown at altitude: juicy, savoury and easy to drink.
