The Winter Wine Tasting, Friday 29th November.

We thought we’d do something a little different for this years Christmas tasting.  We found that quite a few people missed out in previous years as they couldn’t make the date, so we thought why not hold the tasting over two days instead?

This year we will be at our Griffin Mill store with 50+ wines open from 4pm to 10pm on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th November and you are free to drop in at a time that works best for you. Both days will feature identical wines and spirits so you only need to book one of the two dates available.

We have selected our favourite wines of the year including classics from Bordeaux, Burgundy, Rhone, Rioja, Tuscany, Piedmont.  A great selection from South America, Australia, Germany, South Africa and of course Port, Madeira, Sherry, Whisky, Rum and liqueurs.  There will be plenty of sweet wines too.

You will be provided with a tasting booklet and we will be on hand all day to talk through any of the wines with you.  As well as that, on both evenings we will also have some of our favourite suppliers to give their expert advice on choosing your wines for Christmas. On Friday we will be joined by our Italian and Portuguese wine specialists and on Saturday our France, South American and Port specialists.

Not only that but Velo Bakery will be selling their amazing pizzas to enjoy alongside the tasting.  Just place your order on arrival.

Tickets for each day are just £12pp.

We would expect the evening sessions to be busier so if you are looking for quieter times then please come along in the afternoon.  We hope that this should give everyone the opportunity to try as many wines as they would like with no need to rush or queue at tables.
