Vinha do Mouro Tinto
£18.95
Quinta do Mouro was chosen as Alentejo’s Best Wine Producer in 2015 by Wine Magazine. That same year, in The Wine Advocate, Mark Squires wrote ‘All the tastings that I had in Alentejo lead me to one conclusion: Quinta do Mouro is the best winemaker of the region. You can’t ignore it’
This is a seriously good wine, flavours of fresh and perfectly ripe red and black berries and spice. On the palate it shows good structure, fruit and light tannins with well integrated acidity that gives it a fresh and vibrant finish.

Description
With the aim of creating great classics in the Alentejo, the first 6 ha of vineyards were planted in 1989. Through successive trials and adaptations, Miguel Louro realized that the key to achieving his goal was a peculiar viticulture, not only with regard to the careful choice of grape varieties as well as the unusual training of the vines, mostly planted in unirrigated schist soils, with low productivity. In the current 33 ha of vineyards, the Aragonez, Alicante Bouschet, Touriga Nacional and Trincadeira, Arinto, Antão Vaz and Verdelho grape varieties reign, along with international varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Syrah or Petit Verdot.
