Emile Balland planted the first vines in 2000, in the heart of the Coteaux de Giennois region. The son of a winemaker and oenologist, he created his own vineyard which today consists of 7 hectares in the Coteaux de Giennois and less than one hectare in Sancerre. Everything he does is with the utmost respect for the environment, his vineyards are ploughed by horse.  This is top class Sancerre with juicy fruits and a mineral finish.
