Ciello Bianco Catarratto
Organic, natural Catarratto with racy acidity. Unfiltered so its slightly hazy. Apricots and almonds on the finish. Delicious with some whitebait or squid.
Ciello Rosso
Organic and natural Nero d’Avola from Sicily. Lots of juicy plum and herb flavours, really bright and fresh.
Cantine Paolini Grillo BIO
Founded in 1964 by Gaspare Baiata and several likeminded, forward-looking growers. Thanks to their maritime climate and the winds sweeping off the sea through their vines, they have been able to maintain an environmentally friendly approach, and now produce organically certified Grillo and Nero d’Avola. The soil is fertilised with infusions of organically produced herbs and legumes. No sulphur is used or added at any stage in the making of these two wines.
CasalFarneto Verdicchio Classico
Founded in 1995, CasalFarneto is a 35 acre estate whose key to success is to manage traditional winegrowing and winemaking techniques with modern facilities and an eco-sustainable approach towards nature and the surrounding area.
The winery has been entirely covered by a roof garden planted to vines allowing for a double experience: the pleasant visual continuity with the landscape and a constant underground temperature inside, where the barrels are stored.
This is such a great wine, with delicate fruity aromas, floral hints of apple and citrussy notes, and the typical almond aftertaste.
Di Meno Nero d’Avola
Fresh cut flowers, just turned earth, moss, and a gentle spiciness on the nose leading to a palate of dark chocolate, liquorice & blueberry, with a lovely suppleness.
Rallo Vicoletto, Orange Wine
The Vesco family make fragrant wines, organically grown in a certified organic agriculture. They represent the best and most typical style of winemaking in western Sicily: crisp Catarratto and perfumed, fresh Nero d’Avola from their hillside vineyards.
This orange wine is slightly cloudy in colour thanks to the natural approach to winemaking; with no stabilisation, fining or filtration resulting in a wine with very low sulphur levels. The bouquet is a beautiful mix of citrus, grapefruit, apple and white fleshed fruits that follows onto the palate. Complemented by Mediterranean herbs and a backbone of fresh, racy acidity.
Vaira Vincenzo Bianco
Fattoria di Vaira is one of the largest biodynamic farms in Italy. Here they cultivate vegetables, grains and cereals, and produce fresh cheeses, olive oil and honey. After several years of applying biodynamic practices, their soil has been restored, reaching a degree of purity similar to wild soil.
Lemoss Prosecco Frizzante Non-Filtrato NV
Traditional ‘Col Fondo’ Frizzante Prosecco. Its cloudy, wonderfully refreshing and minerally. Flavours of summer flowers, apples, subtle citrus and a dry, long finish.
Baglio Bianco Catarrato
If you are not familiar with orange wines, then this is a great place to start! This little Sicilian wine offers all of the characteristics of natural, orange wine, rich, pithy fruit character, savoury herbs, ginger and spices. Ideal for curries and classic Sicilian dishes.
CasaBelfi Col Fondo Prosecco
Dry, light, naturally and biodynamically made Prosecco. Really cloudy, yeasty, buttery, such a pleasure to drink and only 10.5%. We love this wine!
Casa Belfi Col Fondo Frizzante Rosso
A red declassified Prosecco made using the traditional col fondo method whereby the wine is refermented in bottle without disgorgement. Super light and refreshing and packed full of juicy cherry and raspberry flavours.
Salcheto Vino Nobile di Montepulciano
The Vino Nobile di Montepulciano (100% Prugnolo Gentile) is another big, powerful wine loaded with dark fruit, leather, spices and earthiness. This generous, cask-aged Vino Nobile builds on the finish as the tannins come to life, but the balance is unquestionably outstanding.
Cà dei Maghi Valpolicella Classico Superiore Ripasso
Ca dei Maghi is a small farm in the hills of Valpolicella making very small quantities of the most exquisite wines. Although started in the 1950’s it is only since 2011 when Paolo Creazzi took over the reins that this estate has gone from being ‘good’ to outstanding.
Ca Dei Maghi Valpolicella Ripasso
Ca dei Maghi is a small farm in the hills of Valpolicella making very small quantities of the most exquisite wines. Although started in the 1950’s it is only since 2011 when Paolo Creazzi took over the reins that this estate has
gone from being ‘good’ to outstanding. Each year he seeks to express classical Valpolicella at its very best while his natural inclination to experiment and try new things is shown in the small range of IGT wines produced.
