The Falerio Oris Bianco is an organically-farmed blend of three native grapes that is so easy to drink. Aromas of peach and honeysuckle abound, which continue onto the palate. A medium-body balanced with a well judged acidity, and a fresh finish with a touch of spice.
Cà ed Balos is a small family-owned winery with 6.5 hectares of vineyards in Castiglione Tinella in the Langhe, restored by Renata Bonacina and her husband in the 1990s, reviving Moscato d’Asti production there since 2008. The vines are farmed sustainably and are currently under organic conversion, long using ‘green manure’ to reduce further any need for chemicals.
This is a beautiful sweet moscato with flavours of peach, orange and honey. Perfect with fruit desserts or soft cheeses.
The Nero d’Avola grapes for Rossojbleo are selected from various vineyards in Chiaramonete Gulfi and Ragoletti.
Ruby red with violet reflections. Fragrant with red berries, cherries and plum. Very fresh, easy drinking and harmonious. Perfect for antipasti and works really well with pizza too.
The Vino Nobile di Montepulciano (100% Prugnolo Gentile) is another big, powerful wine loaded with dark fruit, leather, spices and earthiness. This generous, cask-aged Vino Nobile builds on the finish as the tannins come to life, but the balance is unquestionably outstanding.
The Nittardi winery was once owned by Michaelangelo, and whilst painting the Sistine Chapel, he gifted his wines to the pope. As homage to Michelangelo, the unique combination of art and wine is still cultivated today at Nittardi. Every year a well-known artist paints the label as well as the wrapping paper used for the Casanuova di Nittardi Vigna Doghessa wine bottles.
