With a fascinating history, dating back to Medici Florence in the 1500’s, the Fattoria di Calappiano as we know it today is made up of 200 hectares of vines, planted alongside the olive groves and woodlands of this natural heritage site. We are huge fans of this wine, it is velvety smooth, perfect on its own or with food and fantastic value for money!
The farmhouse of Calappiano is located in the wine producing area of Montalbano. Here, the Sensi family cultivate grapes according to the principle of organic and sustainable farming. Their 200 acre farm is a natural habitat for local wildlife, and their wines are infinitely drinkable too!
Intense, fruity, bouquet, with ripe blackberries, wild strawberries and spice. The palate has a warm brambly feel, full of soft ripe fruit and a peristant spice to the finish. Easy drinking and perfect with sausages with white beans, spaghetti with tomatoes and basil.
Located just outside the quiet village of Valiano di Montepulciano, with Cortona on one side and Montepulciano on the other, Avignonesi is comprised of 9 vineyard plots, a villa, a chapel and the historic wine cellars. This is fruit forward, easy drinking and accessible. A fantastic option for an everyday bottle. Black cherry pie, black berries, thyme, red pepper grains and exotic spices.
The fruit for the Hedonist Sangiovese is sourced from the Willunga foothills of McLaren Vale. The idyllic St Vincent’s Gulf lies 5km to the West. The soil is rich loam over clay with patches of underlying limestone, giving the wine a rich and fullness of pallet.
The Adanti farm is one of the historic cellars of the Montefalco area in Umbria. They were one of the first to produce Sagrantino wine. The area is also well-known for the lighter-styled wine called Montefalco Rosso, which is a blend with Barbera, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Blackberry and violet followed by plum, blueberry, vanilla, pink pepper, tobacco, chocolate, cinnamon and mint! Tannic but balanced by the alcohol, full body, intense flavours, very pleasant.
Da-Di is vinified in 12 terracotta vessels made in Tuscany. Chinese for “earth, soil”, the name Da-Di was chosen to underline this particularity. The clay gives this 100% Sangiovese a vibrant and unvarnished taste of red fruit. Da-Di is bursting with the freshness and elegance typical of amphora-ageing. Medium body, sleek texture and mouth-watering red berries and cherries tantalise the senses
Nittardi is a boutique winery situated in the heart of the Chianti Classico region, with vineyards in Chianti Classico and Maremma in southern Tuscany. Fascinating spice and chilli character with blackcurrant and cherry fruit on the nose. Medium to full bodied, firm and silky tannins and a fresh and elegant finish.
The nose is complex with initial aromas of flowers, then fruit like plum, sour cherry, raspberry, and cherries preserved in alcohol that leave space in the end for spices and graphite. In the mouth, its broad structure is pleasantly fresh and delicious to drink. It has smooth, consistent, fine tannins and a long finish; an expression as much of the territory as it is of the Sangiovese grape.

Superb quality Brunello, kept for three weeks on the skins, then three years in barrel and a further year in bottle. Flavours of wild berries, orange peel. Dry and austere on the palate, very long finish. Classic Brunello, great with venison or aged cheeses
