Zensa Brut Spumante NV

Finlayson Pepper Pot
The Finlayson family is synonymous with modern era winemaking in the Cape region. In 2004, having sold Glen Carlou, David bought the farm Woodlands, a portion of the original Edgebaston farm, which is situated near the fringes of the town on the slopes of the Simonsberg facing North East through to South East. It was decided to rename the farm and wines to Edgebaston as this was the area in England that his mother was born and raised in. David oversees the daily management of the vines and winemaking with a direct hands-on approach.
The Pepper Pot is made to show the fresh, fruity and spice driven flavours of Rhône varietals. The colour is youthful and purple to red, the nose is has crushed black pepper and mixed berries. Pure clean dark red berry flavours flow onto a smooth palate with sufficient structure to warrant enjoyment with food such as pepperoni pizza.
Quinta das Maias Tinto
In the foothills of the Serra de Estrela (Star Mountain), Quinta das Maias was first established in 1893. It is now a registered organic estate, capturing the freshness and focus that this vineyard offers. The name of the estate derives from the Portuguese word for the month of May, which is when the Weaver’s Broom (known as Giesta, but here as Maias) flowers here.
Red wines from the Dao should always demonstrate a certain succulence from a combination of altitude and granitic soils, but Maias Tinto goes the extra mile. At these even higher vineyards (around 650m), Jaen (Tinta Mencia) captures in the glass delicious crunchy fruit in this medium bodied wine.

Malvasia dominated dry white from this registered organic, high altitude estate. Citric, clear and brilliant, with floral notes of lime and lemon. On the palate it is fresh, elegant and structured, in the classic line of the Dão white wines.
Burle Vin de Pays de Vaucluse “Burle Est-ce que”
Damien and Florent Burle took over the running of the estate from their father Edmond in 2004. Florent manages the vineyards and Damien is responsible for the winemaking. Their style is rusticity at its best. There is no destemming and the wines have bags of fruit and guts.

Marco Abella Olbieta Blanc

Bastide Merlot
The Château, which has been there since 1770, and vineyards are situated at the very northern tip of the Corbières just to the south of the Minervois.With a colour of deep ruby red and violet hues.
The nose offers a medley of red fruits, which continue onto the soft palate with the addition of earthy truffle and black olive notes towards the finish. Pairs particularly well with game dishes and mushroom based dishes.

An unusual blend of varieties but this wine has the characteristic energy you’d expect from Italian reds. Deliciously succulent with smoky, dark cherry fruit, subtle spice and a mouth-watering finish.
Font de Joubert Cotes du Rhone
Font de Joubert are made by the Charrier family from old vines, many over 100 years old. These gnarly old vines produce a concentrated grape juice from a number of small plots that are co-fermented. Almost entirely Grenache, just 3% is made up of a mixture of other permitted varieties which are planted in among the Grenache vines. The focus here is on fresh elegance with great concentration rather than power and volume.
Altolandon Enblanco Orange Wine
A very pale orange pink colour, the nose is elegant with sweet aromas of stone fruits, mineral and anise, supported by apricot, mirabelle plum and citrus notes. Full and well rounded on the palate, with plenty of weight, yet still elegant, lively and light in body. Easy to drink.

Herdade Sao Miguel Tinto
Casas Relvas is a family run winery in the Alentejo region of Portugal, started in 1997 by Alexandre Relvas who saw in Herdade de São Miguel the vast horizons of his roots in Africa. The family’s passion for the region has extended to the rebuilding of cork oak forests.
The Tinto is a blend of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Touriga Nacional and Alicante Bouschet that changes slightly each year, the last few vintages of which have been fantastic. It results in a full bodied wine, with plenty of cassis, no matter how much Cabernet Sauvignon is used, which delves into dark fruit with a crunchy minerality and some spice from toasted oak. This is a great accompaniament to any Mediterranean dishes, especially lamb.
Cloud Cuckoo Land White
Wild & Wilder were founded by Master of Wine duo Fergal Tynan and Giles Cooke, with Giles also being the winemaker. Both men have worked extensively around the world learning their craft including time in Europe, North and South America before settling in Southern Australia. The duo work with several growers across various regions to hand craft outstandingly good wines at their Adelade Hills winery that are seriously well made, bags of fun and extremely drinkable.
This wine has lashings of ripe pear, almond blossom and quince on the nose and palate. If you like a Viognier, give this a whirl!
We love this with creamy fish pie, or a chunky fish finger and tartare sauce sandwich.

El Porvenir De Cafayete Munay Torrontes
The Torrontes grapes from which this wine is made are grown 1,800 metres above sea level estate vineyards in Cafayete, Salta – a place the Incas once ruled. The name, Munay is the Quechuan word for love.

This is a great wine for lovers of big reds like Zinfandel, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon!
Domaine Corty Jurancon Sec
From Cave de Gan in Jurancon, this dry white makes a delicious aperitif, or pair with cheese, charcuterie or seafood.
Dry with subtle but lingering citrus & tropical fruits on the nose. The palate is complex; lemon & lime with hints of white peach and apricot. This beautifully balanced wine has the freshness of a Sauvignon Blanc and the honeyed richness of a viognier.
Leticia Malbec Del Valle
From Finca Mangato vines in El Paral, Tupungato at 1,200 metres above sea level, planted on shallow sandy-loam soils, this lovely, compact Malbec is co-fermented with 8% Syrah, and this partly explains its lively, fresh character. It is dark and inky in the glass as one would expect, with charming notes of wild cherry, plum and blackberry on the nose. In the mouth the structure is tidy and precise with perfectly integrated tannins and a delicious, long finish reminiscent of those same dark fruits. 30% of the wine is aged in second use French oak barrels for 6 months. A lovely entry point into a range full of stars.
Leticia, meaning Joy in Latin, is the name of one of Estela Perinetti’s daughters; a fitting tribute to a wine so close to the winemaker’s heart.
Ca dei Maghi Canova Rosso
A tasty little red from Ca Dei Maghi. Hints of Morello cherry and red flowers, with a sprinkle of chocolate. The palate is juicy with notes of red berries and raspberries. This is a juicy, light red wine that is great with pizza and pasta.
Besas Gruner Veltliner
Along the banks of the Danube River, Austria, lies the region of Niederösterreich, an area perfectly suited to producing Grüner Veltliner wines of the highest quality. Besas is a new project, formed in 2022, committed to producing wines of typicity, by way of precise and quality-focused winemaking, from sustainably farmed vineyards.
Organic Certified, Besas Grüner Veltliner is bright and fresh, this dry white has crisp notes of citrus fruits, ripe peach, and pear alongside aromatic herbs and a hint of white pepper. These follow through onto the palate and are joined by a mineral backbone and a persistent, zesty finish. The beautiful labels were designed in homage to the late great Austrian artist, Herbert Bayer, whilst encapsulating the essence of the layered aromatics and flavour compositions present in this wine.
This is a perfect wine for accompanying fish; trout and salmon are especially good pairings. it also lends itself to a little spice in food, finding a good partner in asian cuisine.
Lavradores de Feitoria Tinto
Lavradores de Feitoria is a unique project, created from the union of 15 producers with vineyards throughout the Douro. This is different to most cooperatives in that the growers all own the company together. Some of their vineyards are over 80 years old and contain varieties such as Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Boal, Malvasia.
This is a fresh, ripe style of Douro with blackberry, black plum and cherry flavours. A perfect everyday wine.
